When I took Rusty to the vet last week, I asked her to look at his teeth as he's got a baby tooth still in place even though the adult tooth has grown through, they are both in the same place. While she was looking in his mouth she also spotted a baby back tooth that has a lot of tartar build up and is slightly loose in the gum.
She suggested that I should give him plenty of things that he'd need to chew on such as dentasticks or hide bones as this should encourage them to fall out.
Sounds great, the other two love things like this and will chew all day long on smelly slimey hide bones. Rusty however will not entertain any kind of 'treat'. I've tried pretty much everything that I can find and even tried rubbing them down with chicken or beef to give them a bit of flavour so that he might give them a try but he's just not having it.
I'm totally lost as to what to try next but these teeth have to come out before they cause a serious problem, has anyone got any suggestions :?
