Well folks, Wicket has the groomers today and I'm beside myself with worry. After the way our normal groomer has mucked us around recently, we're off to a different one. Wicket has had a few wee accidents at the groomers in the past so I'm not sure how trusting he's going to be. Hopefully he'll be a star but ?I'm worried. He has a few matts (mainly because he was half groomed and then left for 6 weeks) and he'll probably have to be cut quite short.
I'll post a photo of him on here when he gets home and you can pass judgement. I loved my old groomer and I loved the way wick was cut so I'm hoping he looks just as good from this one.
Good luck Wicket I'm sure you will be just fine and mummy is worrying unnecessarily (as all us mums do  ) I was the same on monday with Holly as it was a new groomer for us too but she was fine and the groomer was lovely.
Look forward to seeing the pics of you and your new haircut .... xxx Paula

That's me just picked wicket up .. and i'm not happy! I told the woman not to cut his ears or beard (I cut them last week and they were perfect). Well, she cut them :( I think he looks daft, but what's worse ... remember I mentioned his accident with his nuts ... she's cut one of them. Luckily I've got a full tube of his cream for them that the vet gave me "just in case" and I've rubbed it on but it was bleeding. Grrr....
I'm jsust uploading some photos to photobucket and I'll get a pic on soon.
Also, she's cut his tail in an awfully weird way ... She has cut every strand of hair to the same length. Usually its shorter at the base and longer at the end. And you'll never guess what ..she owns and breeds lhasas so she should know better!
Hold on ... here he is:

His ears look daft but there's nothing I can do about it now...

Aw hun, can I beg to differ on that one? I think he looks rather cute and although I know youre saying its not what you asked for I still think he looks just fine...Im more used to seeing Lhasas in short coat so maybe thats just me.
Im so sorry that he got cut though - ouch poor little thing how on earth did that happen?

Don't know, no explaination. It was just "here's your dog. £35 please. off you go"!
Poor mite. He always looks cute in his short coat but he usually looks cuter. I suppose it'll be good for him in the warm weather ... but I've just noticed she didn't pluck his ears!

Aw, I think he looks cute too! It's terrible that she nicked him though, it can't be that difficult not to catch a dog while you're clipping it. :o xxx

I've got a good video of wick playing with his ball with his new hair cut but it's taking ages to put on photobucket.
Well to me, Wicks is jsut as cute as he was before albeit a shorter, alot shorter, coat. There is nothing worse than a groomer doing the complete opposite of what is asked of them (Ive had this experience in the past hence I stopped using them). I cannot believe she cut him!!! I also cannot believe she did not remove the hairs from his ears and to say she breeds Lhasas.............to be honest Im gob smacked!!! Not being funny but I could have done a better job myself. Did she clip the claws??? And trim the pads??? I take it you will be finding yet another groomer again ;) ;) ;) Even still, he is just as gorgeous and always will be xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well, actually ... I've decided I'm going to fork out the money and learn to groom them myself. It'll be £300 to learn to groom lhasas but I intend owning and breeding lhasas for the rest of my life and it works out cheaper than forking out £35 every 3 months in the long run. There is a course near me and if I like it, I can pay the £2000 to become a groomer of any breed.

awww wicket your still a cutie to me long, medium or short coat, but for a hairy dog i do personally prefer a wee bit of coat, on the plus side it will grow back in time for winter so you'll be all cosy again, and if yer mums away to learn a grooming course then guess what wicket she'll be practesing on you :D and you'll be the best looking lhasa around, head up sonny jim cos yer still a good looking pooch xxx

I passed on your message ... he looked at me with those big sad eyes and rolled over. Poor boy! I'm determined to get his coat looking perfect. He has a really thick coat so I think I'll try and keep him looking like a teddy bear rather than a long coat.

Maybe a good idea then hun..... I think Wicket and Raven would get more from it too...good luck xxx
I like all types of Lhasa coats...............I know mine are kept long but I still like to see all the different types of cut and they are all as cute as any other xxxxxxxxxxx
